The Little Voices Hiding

I want to scream!
There is no feeling,
And no longing or desire
To live.
I want to scream,
But the voice in my head,
Yelling,
Provides no release.

Dammit, I’m in pain,
And the voice in my head
And the rhythm in my chest
will not shut up.
It’s yelling!
And the people around me are ignorant fools,
Blissfully blind to all true woes,
To all the torment in my head,
And to the screams of the oppressed
And the abused.
Of the raped,
The ignored,
And the hated.

Their silent screams have no voice,
So there is no release.
And it all keeps building and building
Until we want to die,
And till our voices become distorted,
And then it’s all lies.
Lies yelling in pain!
And anger filling our thoughts.
And then we are not ourselves.
And we become our very pains,
And there is no release.
